The annual attendance of Rock Fest is between 25,000 and 35,000 people daily. There are excellent views of the main stage at every admission level due to the stage being located at the bottom of a small hill. There is a VIP Section which includes reserved seating and all-inclusive meals & drinks, reserved lawn seating, General Admission Amphitheater seating and a dropped Fan Pit (no moshing allowed) in front of the stage. Rock Fest also has a picture taking line that allows the fans to get up to the front of the stage. There are four beer pavilions that have live music performing in between main stage acts and until 2:00 am each day/night of the fest. It is usually held on the third weekend (Wednesday–Saturday) of July. Rock Fest is billed one of the premier outdoor rock music festivals in the United States. On site there are also Convenience Stores, Merch Store, concessions, and Side Stages that feature Regional Acts in between Main Stage performances. New college students and seasoned fashionista's have turned to Metropolis for their vintage fashion needs. The Amphitheater Venue hosts more than 7,000 Campsites for Campers with RV's or Tents, as well as the Amphitheater Concert Grounds for the four days of shows that features over 20 National Rock Music Acts each year. In 1995, I moved Metropolis to its current location of 3rd Ave & 10th St, which is conveniently situated in the heart of East Village, near St. At the time, fashion was all about "grunge" - the 501 Levi Jeans, flannel shirts, motorcycle jackets, overalls, and army surplus were selling like wildfire and Metropolis was the leading provider. Realizing an interest in fashion, but tired with the elements of outdoor retailing, I took my small business indoors to Avenue B & 10th St in 1990. While freelancing at various advertising agencies throughout the city and graduating from Pratt Institute in1982, I sold clothes at several flea markets in NYC for extra money. Nothing makes us feel better than seeing a customer wearing a item purchased from us when we bump into them in a bar or club or show. We love to become friends with our customers and hang out after the store closes. If you're in NYC, please stop by to hang out in the shop and become our friend. We do a lot of traveling to find a large collection and I hope you enjoy the shoes we have to offer here at Etsy and in our store. Just like the East Village, we have changed over the last 20 years and today we specialize in VINTAGE SHOES and BOOTS, the largest and best selection in New York. We took a hold of a set of keys and opened our first store on Ave B and 6th Street on Feb 1, 1990. We started selling vintage clothing in flea markets back in 1984 in SOHO - a time when downtown seemed like the center of the world, when street artists were pushing their way to the top and cut off jeans were high fashion. We are a shop located in the East Village section of Manhattan, 3rd Avenue and 10th Street.
